For those who love Vadas, here is a new recipe. Moong Poha Vada. Yet another simple quick to make recipe.
Ingredients:
Split yellow Moong dal - 1 Cup
Poha (Chipped rice) - 1/2 Cup
Green Chillies - 2 long, chopped
Salt to taste
Chopped Corriander leaves - say 2 spoonful
Palak leaves - 1/4 cup finely chopped ( Optional )
Oil for frying

Way to go:
- Soak the moong dal in hot water for some three hours. And drain water thoroughly.
- Once moong dal is ready, wash the poha in water if poha is soft. For thicker pohas immerse poha in water for 10 mts.
- Grind the moong dal with very little water to a thick paste.
- Mix ground moong dal paste with soaked poha, chopped chillies, chopped corriander, Chopped palak, with little salt to taste. Mix them well.
- Now seperate the mixture into equal sized balls.
- Pat them into vada shape round / oval as you wish.
- Heat oil enough to immerse and fry our vadas, and when oil is hot enough, drop the vadas in batches and fry them in medium low heat to the right crispness.
- Your Moong Poha vada can be now eaten as is or with Coconut chutney or any other chutney of your choice.
